TOPIC 1: ORGANIC COTTON

Did you know that 25% of the world's insecticides and 10% of the world's pesticides are used to grow conventional cotton? Per the EPA, of the 15 most common pesticides, 7 are potential carcinogens, 8 cause tumors and 5 cause mutations. For just one conventional cotton T-shirt, approximately one-third of a pound of pesticides and fertilizers is required.

TOPIC 2: ORGANIC SKINCARE

You shouldn't eat junk food, so why feed your skin, the largest organ in your body, synthetic chemicals? Many non-organic body products contain potential carcinogens as sulfates, parabens, formaldehydes and artificial fragrances and colors. If your body product is not made from organic or wild-crafted plants, you could also be applying pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to your skin.

TOPIC 3: Unbleached and Dye-Free

You wouldn't feed your pet heavy metals and toxic chemicals. Then let your pet chew toys that are unbleached and dye-free. Many pet allergies and sensitivities could be due to the chemicals they are ingesting from their toys! By choosing unbleached and dye-free toys, you prevent dangerous manufacturing pollutants from entering the environment while helping your pet simultaneously.

TOPIC 4: ORGANIC SOY WAX

Did you know that traditional paraffin wax is processed from crude oil and when burned, releases 11 toxins, 3 of which are potential carcinogens? 100% biodegradable organic soy wax not only burns cleaner, but it also reduces soil and water damaging pesticide and synthetic fertilizer usage. For preservation, sustainability and biodiversity, buy organic soy wax!

TOPIC 5: BAMBOO

Bamboo is an amazing renewable grass, which grows to maturity in 4 years without the use of pesticides or chemicals. It naturally provides UV protection and is anti-microbial and anti-fungal. Bamboo is softer, four times more absorbent and dries twice as fast as cotton.

TOPIC 6: RECYCLED PLASTIC FABRIC

Do you wonder what happens to those plastic water and pop bottles (PETE #1 plastic) you throw into your recycling bin? Some bottles are separated by color, cleaned, shredded and melted into a liquid. This liquid is extruded into thin, strong strands, which are woven into fabric. One Reware Juice Bag removes 8 two-liter bottles from the waste stream.

TOPIC 7: TEA TREE OILS

Are you wondering why tea tree oils are used in so many products? Tea tree oil is a versatile oil coming from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia. Its anti-septic, anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties make it ideal for household cleaners. It has many other beneficial properties such as clearing acne to preventing dandruff.

TOPIC 8: D-LIMONENE

D-Limonene is the oil found in citrus fruit (oranges and lemons), which provides their wonderful aroma. D-Limonene acts as a natural insect repellant for you, your pets, and your home. It also is an excellent natural solvent for removing adhesives, stains and paint.
